Narrated by Simon Schama, this episode of the BBC documentary series Power of Art, is on the life Vincent Van Gogh, a Dutch post-Impressionist painter whose work had a far-reaching influence on 20th century art for its vivid colors and emotional impact. I really enjoyed watching this, David. Thanks for posting. I saw one of Van Gogh’s exhibitions a few years ago here in Melbourne – he is truly one of the greatest artists the world would ever know.

Yes, I think Van Gogh is, as they say, one of those rare artists where everyone agree is a genius. One would think his works would be contrived by this point… but it still does resonate.
