History of the Internet

“History of the internet” is an animated documentary explaining the inventions from time-sharing to filesharing, from Arpanet to Internet. The history is told using the PICOL icons on picol.org, which are available for download. (8:10 min)

    It’s amazing how far we have come in the last 50 years. What started out as a military technology is so widely embraced in the developed world now, that it’s hard to imagine what it will be like in the next 10 years. So much has changed, and both ways it has cut…

    Yes, it is interesting because we have come to a point in history where we actually see it happening around us instead of just reading about it… It’s neat…

    Interesting video. I really wonder sometimes about the technology my kids will be using. 3D holographs? Teleporting? Love your site, which Sleeping Cow @ Korea Dispatch introduced me to (I work with him..) and you’ve got some banging tunes up here too :)
